Detailed information regarding what is included with each scan below.

Breast Scan

The most accurate result we can produce is change over time. Before we can start to evaluate any changes, we need to establish an accurate and stable baseline for you. This baseline represents your unique thermal fingerprint, which will only be altered by developing pathology. A baseline cannot be established with only one study, as we would have no way of knowing if this is your normal pattern or if it is actually changing at the time of the first exam. By comparing two studies three months apart we are able to judge if your breast physiology is stable and suitable to be used as your normal baseline and safe for continued annual screening.

***Remember to apply for the Grant.  You must have approval of grant before coming to appointment.  It takes up to 1 week for approval to be emailed back to you.

Whole Body

Grant May Be Used Towards This Scan.

Chronic inflammation is at the root of many of the diseases that negatively affect our lives today, including cancers, heart disease, musculoskeletal disease, joint disease and diabetes.

Thermal imaging is the best technology for showing inflammation in the body. Detecting this inflammation at the earliest possible stage allows for the opportunity to address the problem and take measures to treat these changes before they become more serious.

Annual screening with regional or full body thermography can determine whether inflammatory changes are taking place or if known conditions are changing or becoming chronic.

Upper and full body scans are not useful as a ‘stand alone’ screening test for cancer, however abnormal findings may serve as an early indicator or lead to follow-up with other testing more appropriate to diagnosing cancers or the presence of chronic inflammation in that particular region of the body.

Upper Body

Upper and full body thermal scans can also be quite useful in assessing and monitoring pain, inflammatory states such as infections, musculo-skeletal dysfunction, arthritis and joint pain, soft tissue and sports injuries, myofascial trigger points, nerve pain and pain related to suboptimal blood flow to an area. It can help to localize the source of referred pain in the body and can be useful in diagnosing dental pain, helping to determine whether there is a sub-clinical infection, nerve involvement or TMJ present. It can also be used to support the need for additional diagnostic imaging when justification for testing is required.

Upper and full body scans are not useful as a ‘stand alone’ screening test for cancer, however abnormal findings may serve as an early indicator or lead to follow-up with other testing more appropriate to diagnosing cancers or the presence of chronic inflammation in that particular region of the body.

***Disclaimer: Breast thermography offers women information that no other procedure can provide. However, breast thermography is not a replacement for or alternative to mammography or any other form of breast imaging. Breast thermography is meant to be used in addition to mammography and other tests or procedures. Breast thermography and mammography are complementary procedures, one test does not replace the other. All thermography reports are meant to identify thermal emissions that suggest potential risk markers only and do not in any way suggest diagnosis and/or treatment. Studies show that the earliest detection is realized when multiple tests are used together. This multimodal approach includes breast self-examinations, physical breast exams by a doctor, mammography, ultrasound, MRI, Pet Scans, thermography, and other tests that may be ordered by your doctor.
